Individual Therapy Sessions
People come to therapy for all kinds of reasons—some are facing big life changes, while others are simply feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or not quite themselves. You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Often, people come because something isn’t working the way they’d like it to, and they’re ready to try something different.
Some common reasons people seek therapy include:
-
Feeling anxious, depressed, or emotionally overwhelmed
-
Struggling with past or recent trauma
-
Challenges with substance use or addictive behaviors
-
Wanting to improve relationships or set healthy boundaries
-
Coping with stress, loss, or major life transitions
-
Seeking support for recovery, healing, or personal growth
-
Simply wanting a space to reflect, feel heard, and better understand themselves
Therapy is a collaborative process. It's not about fixing what's "wrong" with you—it's about helping you make sense of your experiences, discover new ways of coping, and feel more grounded and empowered in your life.
I offer one-to-one virtual talk therapy visits through a HIPAA compliant internet platform. I use a number of evidence based modalities to help each person reach their goals. My approach integrates therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). I’m a certified provider of the Adolescent Community Reinforcement Approach (A-CRA), and one of the few clinicians in the area trained in the Community Reinforcement and Family Training (CRAFT) model—an approach that empowers families to support loved ones affected by substance use.
You are complex and your needs are complex. We will identify what topics are most important for you to address, and develop a plan to meet them.
